Their Favorite Shows Are Secretly Mine Too
We all have have our favorite TV show whether it's Grey's Anatomy, The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones, but so do little kids. With there being three of them in my house hold and them being so young, there are always the same three shows on with an exception of a few others. These shows being Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol and PJ masks. It's on so much that I've memorized the songs and sometimes while I'm at school, I will randomly get them stuck in my head and have to refrain from singing it out loud. Even those little songs side songs or tunes that get played throughout the episode.
A show that they used to watch when the kids were younger was Daniel Tiger. Everyday, every hour they could, that show was always on. Out of kids shows that my siblings watch, that one was one of my favorites. They were really able to soak in each lesson that specific episode was trying to teach. I’m able to sing the little jingle (because those got burned into my head too) whenever the kids start to act up and they immediately understand and switch the way they were acting… with a little help since toddlers are very persistent.
After watching these episodes over and over again while mom is upstairs cleaning and dad making dinner, you evently start subconsciously learning and remembering things that come up in episode. I’ve learned all the characters names, favorite things, and things they hate. For example, in Paw patrol, one of the pups names is Rocky. He is the recycling pup, color of his pup car is green, and he hates water. I even know a lot of lines that each character says on a certain episode.
Even sometimes on weekends, when the kids go down for a nap, the TV is left on and I'm downstairs alone. My mom will come down to find me still sitting on the couch watching what ever was left on. Hey! I need to find out if the Paw Patrol save the baby turtles!
No matter what, I’ll always get one of the cartoons songs stuck in my head, know the show by heart and get caught watching it by myself but I will always be right next to them watching the newest episode of their favorite TV show.
