Cut It or Keep It?

The Cons of having Long Hair

Ever since the 5th grade, I had short hair up till about 8th grade. I loved it because it was very easy to tend to and didn't get caught in anything. My little sister was born in 2012, when I still had short hair. It was a marvelous time because she couldn't grab at what wasn't there.

As she grew older, she did start to yank and pull at stuff but it wasn't really till the boys were born that I started to have a problem.

During 8th grade year, I had a friend who decided to grow out his hair, cut it and donate it. That inspired me to try and do the same thing.

So far I have not achieved that goal ( especial since I've dyed it).

Not so long after that decision, my parents surprised every they were having another baby only to find out it was twins! At the point the boys were born, I had just gotten out of 8th grade and it was almost summer. I have to admit, I did not like the stages my hair grew out in but as it kept growing longer and longer, and the boys started growing older and older, it most definitely got yanked.

Although I can't get every glorious shot of me shrieking in pain and my brothers and sister laughing at me, it most definitely is funny when I do get a great shot like this one.

Now that the boys are going through terrible 2's, I really have to watch those little hands getting tangled up and grabbing a fist full of hair. I've learned to always try to keep it up and out of their way or at least not get very close to them when they are grumpy and not happy with me. The only problem with lazy mornings like this, is that I will most definitely end up getting hurt!

What are some of your experiences with long or short hair and little kids? What do you prefer? Leave a comment down below and let me know!
